What are the different fare classes?

In all those trip reports and on my tickets I read different fare classes. F, J and Y are common knowledge but what else are there? Is there a complete list on the internet? On some tickets I flewn it says M and L, what are they? Thankful for help

Welcome to Flyertalk, PappaG!

Since your question about fare classes isn't directly related to miles and points, but rather to booking travel general, I'm going to move it to TravelBuzz.

(I do recognize that the fare class you book in can affect how many points you earn -- and even if your ticket earns points. Nevertheless, this seems a better TravelBuzz topic.)

I will start off the topic there with a few links:

Continental Fare Classes
British Airways booking classes
United revenue and award booking codes

As you'll see, there's some variation among the airlines.
