Thank you

Wow, I just checked one of my accounts and thought a quick thank-you was in order to gleff, pgary and flyertalk people...

In just 2 months (no flying), I parlayed some old miles in my wife's account from 7,000 TWA miles to 23,500 AAdvantage miles using only Kellogg's, opinionplace and credit card bonus/purchases (and along the way, I picked up an easy $25 for opening an ING savings account and got some golf balls).

Plus, I'm now a new loyal customer of American Express (love their Internet account managing system) and ING Bank (extremely convenient).

I'm glad I found AmEx since Visa sucks (we always had a small credit with them and Visa just stole it in Decemeber, calling it a "rebilling finance charge" and leaving us with a zero balance even though there was never any charge for them to "finance."

Anyway, thanks again for the tips.

Since the thread was already started wanted to also add my thanks. In just over a year FT has helped me go from a Frequent Flyer wannabee to kind of the real thing! My travel is all of the non-expensed leisure variety. I just got back from Paris, and I have tickets in hand for Hawaii in March and Rome in May. I'm a "challenged" AA Platinum but I've already qualified for Gold on AA next year and I've gotten some lovely upgrades due to my hotel status - status also gotten with FT's help. A sincere thank you to everyone who's shared on these boards.
