Miles for paying off mortgage?

Miles for paying off mortgage?
I thought there was a thread about this but I can't find it.
Would love advice from you creative types. I am thinking of paying off a mortgage balance. Bank lender will take any kind of check or cashier check or money order payment. How can I get miles for this?
Plenty of time to figure out a way. Have all the usual credit cards. I called Starwood Amex but they said a check make out to a bank would be considered a cash advance and I doubt the fees involved would be worth it.
