status upgrade timing
Just a quick question that hopefully someone can answer...
If you go from QF Silver -> Gold or Gold -> Platinum in the first month of your new membership year, generally, do you get the new status for 23 months?
I seem to remember reading somewhere that if you reach the new status in the first 6m of your membership year, you will simply get 12m of the new status (and your anniversary month changes), but elsewhere have read that you will get 23m and keep your annivesary month.
QF's terms & conditions simply state that you get them for a "minimum of 12 months"...

The reduction in status credits needed to requalify (eg: 1400 to get Platinum, 1200 to keep it) makes life a lot easier too.
Forget the miles, it's all about the status.
