Flyertalk photo gallery
I have updated the page to include a "Candid Photo Gallery" link. I turned the page that had "Freddies" pictures into a general site to display pictures (other than our mugshots) that might be of interest to our group.
The first, supplied by Matt Wald (in an e-mail to many of us yesterday) is a terriffic example of the type of general interest picture, and inspired the change.
Please feel free to e-mail your candid pictures for posting. With a few get-togethers scheduled, I'm sure we'll have a few shots to go up shortly. And there are still only 19 Flyertalkers who cared to share their images with us, and I know these threads have more than 19 of us talking, or they'd be smaller. Email is [email protected]
The URL is:
Again as a reminder, this is not a commercial enterprise, and I do not profit in any way from the site. It's just a way for us to add images to our talk.
Dave

Dave... you are "profiting" in a way... a free way by allowing the FlyerTalkers to see the faces behind teh names (especially that very handsome, sexy looking guy in the Hawaiian shirt who wins over the ladies by knowing Jimmy Buffett!) CATMAN
SOrry, it's been one of those crazy producing days so I"m out of it!

Catman,
Don't hesitate to write UA Public Relations a letter asking them if they have a print of that ad that they could send to you!
For those of you left out of the loop....there is a current UA ad showing a big cat lounging comfortably in a biz class seat with the caption "Funny how they always pick the best seats".

please explain: "Monikers" - I didn't find it in my diccionary (some form of in-famous "Monikas"? - or "Monkeys"?).

Hi Rudi --
Moniker is U.S. slang (for some reason I identify it with western novels and movies but its use now is fairly pervasive) for the name one goes by, but NOT one's given name. Sometimes also called a "handle." E.g., "Hey there podner (western for partner), what's your handle? My moniker is Six Gun Charlie. Mighty fine to meetcha Six Gun; they call me Trusty Rusty."
Also the name of a well known young woman (smile).
Cheers,
KatW
a moniker by any other name

Ok Babs and Jaws...I'm tired of looking at those crummy stand-ins! Whatsa matta? Gotta wart on your noses? Teeth missing? Wanted by the FBI? Inquiring eyes want to see! And for the rest of you hold-outs...wadaya waitin for...an engraved invitation? Dust off those Poloroids that you keep in a shoebox in the closet and scan 'em, attach 'em and send 'em to NJDavid so we all can see those lovely faces that we only read about here on FlyerTalk. I mean, if Rudi can show himself in Leiderhosen, certainly those college photos of you wearing a lampshade aren't out of the question!

Lederhosen? It is finest Swiss linen and/or cotton - most of it now for the third generation in ouf family. (Lederhosen would be Bavarian - our North-Eastern-Teuton-neibhours ...).

OK, PremEx, "I'll show mine when 'arturo' shows his"......picture, that is.....However, I must warn you that I'm every bit and more handsome than Catman "thinks" he is and, out of empathy, I really did not want to make Catman look uglier than he already is.
As for "Tree", both Catman and I would have to move back in the line, with, of course, Catman going to the absolute rear of the line.
