status miles for transfered points?

status miles for transfered points?
Just wondering if any frequent flyer programs give status miles (so to give you silver or gold status with the airline for example) for points transfers (like from SPG) or do they all only give status miles for flying?

I searched for...

status starwood

...because the search engine would ignore "SPG". It also helped that I remembered the thread.

In terms of transferred points, I know you could transfer in 1MM/2MM AAdvantage miles and be Gold/Plat for life. That's a lot of transferred points, though.
