About 10 years ago I flew CO for the 1st and only time SEA-EWR. They had a double miles promotion and I got over 10,000 miles from just one R/T. Probably expired and my account closed by CO. Should have credited those miles to AS, which is where I have been building miles on all these years.
Also, I had flown SQ, OZ, MH, PR and CI multiple times between SIN and SEA/LAX/SFO but never asked for the miles. Must have accounted for over 100K+ BIS miles there. Was my teenage and early 20's years and didn't give FFP much thought.

while not miles, it's still depressing to me:
once there was a great baseball team called the Boston Red Sox. in 2007 they were 14 games ahead of the famed rival, the NY Yankees.
they lost this lead due to bad moves and stupid luck. Now they have a 4 game lead but the Yankees are getting hot.
now THAT'S depressing for me!

Gagne may well go down as the worst deal that everyone thought would be a blockbuster.
Let's go Yankees! (You opened yourself up for that one

For on topic, my 13K SQ miles that expired together with ones that will in NOvember if I can't work out how to pick them up. Also a RT KIX-JFK via Vancouver flown on Air Canada that I tried to credit to SQ but the fare class wasn't valid for miles accumulation.

Anyway, last time the Red Sox were in the WS, you needed to fly Southwest to get to the away games. The time before that I think it was horse and buggy and no, you didnt get miles.
Well, i have a little lost mile or point story... maybe I was being smahhht but in the end it was a loss:
We were going to reserve two award tix to Aruba in Business class on AA. i was 4k short. I decided to transfer SPG points over. They came in time to still hold our res, but we ended up not making up our mind and were able to go online and put it on hold again, and again, and again. Since then other many miles have posted from other activity I later did on my CC. I wouldnt really need the extra AA miles as urgently right now. I mean they're nice to have but I should have had more faith in AA that they'd still have the award seats avail for our November travel plans to the island. One never knows but still...
So I kind of lost those 4k points and ironically, we need them for the hotel there! I will get more AMEX SPG points in time but we could have worked less. Oh well. that's like getting too many "good" pitchers, where the blockbuster never comes thru and his interjection into the mix kinda screws it up somehow. maybe it will settle itself out, as will my points and miles if I work hard enough at it.

A 20K WorldPerks FlyWrite paper ticket (sort of like WN tix) went to waste...
I remember flying extra segments on turbo props just to get the ticket but really had no where to go and then forgot about it for a while and then when i wanted to use it, expired...What a waste!

Lost all our points with Aeroplan new requirements to redeem some points within six months or you lose them all. I wonder how much money Aeroplan saved themselves with this nifty little manoeuver. I bet there is enough people out there, who just lost a bundle of points, to start a class action suit.
