changements/clarification of (some) stop-over-rules

Some frequent-fliers of this board (I know the ones tthat share their planning in the StarAlliance Forum; but this is probably of interest for others too) try to maximise Mileage-Earnings and stopover-possibilities) from rtw-ticket.

Yesterday/today discussions with my LH-angel (LH downtown Zrich office, Miss Daisy Hischier) 'revealed' to me:

* Even for purely inner North-American-segments, that are part of international tickets, international stopover-rules are being applied for all segments (the 24 hours, and not the 4-hrs rule)
* that the second part of the old-non-stopover-rules (as far as I knew and posted them here: "or next connecting flight, whatever is longer") is not valid anymore for some times already, for any ticket./any airline. Individual stopover-rules (fare-related/ticket-related, airline-related from time to time still might differ).
