at last maybe people that know something!
hello my name is france martina, and I have been all over the internet for weeks now trying to find out information. I am in the process of adopting a baby from russia , I fly out on my first trip Nov 15 on AA from San Antonio to ST lou to (finnair) NY to HElsinki to Moscow! anyone been this route?
i then have to go to krasnodar, what is the best carrier from moscow to krasnodar? are they on time ?](i have more flexability 1st trip)
this is my 1st out of two trips, I am going alone on this one, I got lucky and my friend that worked with a company that had her fly every other week had ffm and she got me the ticket with b/c upgrade international and f/c state side, i told her she could be the fairy god mother, i hope that does not break the rule of " no compensation" for miles, lol.
anyways , I am on my own for the second trip (ticket wise) , I am trying to find a great deal for my husband and I and then the little girl we bring home that will have great flexablility, I don't even know when we will get to go as I have to wait for a court date to be set, hurry up and wait is what i heard to expect. any suggestions on airlines ? deals? anything at this point!
i have seen some tickets up for auction that seem good but not much info on restrictions, any comments on that?
if i am going on and on I'm sorry but you all seem to know so much and i need answers ..
are the united system wide certificates any good , I found one in an auction?
thank you all for reading and any info would be much appreciated

Northwest, IIRC, offers a special deal to parents that are adopting a child from a foreign country. You may want to try calling their corporate offices and asking them about it. It has been a few years since I heard about it, but I thought Northwest was the airline that gave a big break on airfares to pick up children.

Zipual is correct, NW does have adoption fares;
Northwest Airlines introduces Special DeliverySM
Significant fare discounts for international adoptions.
here is the link:
http://www.nwa.com/features/adopt.shtml
Some of the T&C's (more posted on the link)
Purchase Requirements: Adoption fares are valid for roundtrip travel for parents and siblings of adopted child solely on NW/KL between the 50 United States and any of 100 destinations throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, India and the Middle East served by Northwest Airlines/KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Northwest Airlink and Northwest designated flights operated by Mesaba, Business Express, Pinnacle Airlines, Horizon Air, American Eagle, America West, Alaska Airlines, Eurowings, KLM Cityhopper and Air China are permitted. Flights operated by other affiliates/Airlinks are not permitted
Reservations Requirements: Tickets must be booked in Coach Class (Y Class) or World Business Class (C Class). Name and number of Adoption agency and information from INS form I-171-H, as listed above, must be included when making reservation. If the adoption information provided to NW/KLM is proven to be false, the passenger will be contacted and a normal fare will be offered.
Roundtrip fare: 65% off full Y fares or 50% off full adult J Fares for roundtrip travel originating in the United States. Passenger must pay taxes/fees/surcharges/PFC's.
Good Luck!!!!
