Like a whirlwind storm Marvella with Kitty Meow in tow, will arrive into Sydney on February 20th, for our 10 day long "Rainbow Tour".

Sydney will again come alive for the 21st Annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras(SGLM). For the next 10 days come see the biggest Wigs, the deepest makeup and the most impractical frocks, which will explode in a shower of stardusted glamour, with the beautiful city of Sydney as the back drop.

So If you're not packed yet, grab your bag and pack your favorite frocks! , and catch one of the many non-stop flights from SFO and LAX.

It's Mardi Gras time, and Girl's it's time to Party!

Queen Marvella's top 7 pick of events for Australia, and the 1999 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

1. Saturday February 20th... after arrival into Sydney, It's a early start with Brekky at Cafe 191 at Taylor's Square, then it's "Shop yourself stupid!" on Oxford Street(another SGLM annual event.) A portion of your purchases goes to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.

2. Sunday February 21st... Marvella and the SGLM order of Perpetual Indulgence will host a Living history walk of Newtown and Enmore. 10am, meet outside the Green Iguana Cafe.( 6 King St., Newtown)

3. February 23rd... Tea with the prime minister in Canberra. What's his name again?
(maybe I'll have to cancel this one, Queen Marvella is just to busy.)

4. February 24th... It' off to Ayers Rock, But this Diva, ain't taking no Rusty bus like Bernie, Mitzi and Felicia, it Ansett Australia for us. We'll climb Ayres Rock in our best Frocks, a dream of mine since I was a small child.

5. Friday February 26... Mardi Gras Swimming Carnival @ Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, a fun event with Synchronized nuns, and many beautiful boys of summer.


6. Saturday February 27.... Party, Party, Party!...Don't forget the Parade 8pm , Oxford and along Flinders St., Gaze in Wonderment at the Largest, Loudest and most colorful celebration of gay and lesbian Pride in the world!

7. Sunday February 28 Girls it recovery Party time...! See you at the Barracks Bar!

Marvella and Kitty Meow... if you have the time and a little extra cash, take AYER ROck around that big rock! It's a great, one hour ride, beautiful views of that natural wonder.

Good picture taking and video taking from a nice small plane. Ride can be a bit bumpy but it was one of the best things I did when I was in OZ.

The hike is good too, but if you are not a hiker like I am then it's better to FLY over
the ROck than climb it.

Sorry: Ayer Rock is not a partner with any airline, but I believe if you have an airline mileage credit card you can earn a few miles that way.
