Also, before doing any transfers, be aware of Amtrak's dire financial conditions. It's only got enough funding from the Bush Administration to run until Sept. 30, 2002 and this was part of an emergency funding deal that was done 2 days before anticipated shutdown in June.
Who knows what will happen to miles in Amtrak's account if it does shut down?
