AA PLAT w/ 2 RT flights ?

New Member. Great site and members.
Want to know if this will work.
1) Register for AA PLat Challenge
2) Fly AA or Partner RT for >/=3300 miles
3) Fly Singapore Air SFO/SIN 16,888 miles

Depart SFO 9/3 2pm
Depart SIN 9/5 5pm
Travelocity fare $618.40

Flying SFO/SIN flight second as this will maximize my 100% bonus on qualyifying flight.

Anything I missed ?

Thanks,

A. SQ is not an AA partner.

B. SQ does not allow mileage accrual on many cheap fares in any event.

C: AA Platinum Challenge questions belong in the AA forum.

D: 3300 miles in coach won't work for the Platinum Challenge anyway.

One small problem, according to the AA site Singapore Air is not a oneworld member /American Airlines partner. It's a Star Alliance partenr with United, Air Canada, etc.

Cathay Pacific is an AA partner.

Well I really screwed up my first post.
Thanks all for the gentle feedback.
Will be a lot more careful in future posts.

Gumbo Cook...

Welcome to FT

Regarding you question, UpgradeMe is right. A lot of people on the AA board would be willing to help you.

BTW, the post does not qualify as a screwup. Check out OMNI. We redefine the word screwup out there.

This should help you get started. There is a whole section on challenges.

GumboCook:

Welcome to FT. Don't mind the antics of UpgradeMe...he basically sits around all day waiting for the chance to pounce on newbies.

Please dont be afraid to ask any questions. Definitely don't let people like UpgradeMe scare you from posting anymore.

People like to use the search function here to pull up old threads instead of starting new ones. Before you post, check and see if its been posted before (I never did really understand why).

Again welcome. The people at the AA forum will be able to offer you alot more advice. Good luck on your quest for AA Plat.

Bean, Bourne, and sgopal,

Thanks for the encouragement ! CX sent me an e-mail today stating sale fares bought on their website will get AA miles and a 5k AA mile bonus if you also enroll in CyberCathy.
I checked if qualified for elite status and it does cause its a H fare. Check out the post in American Airline section.

Regards,
