That's true if you access the Opinion Place website with AOL software. However, if you access Opinion Place with Netscpae/Internet Explorer, you'll see the page offering AA miles.

If (whenever) this Hilton profile update (and getting miles for it) promotion ends, we will, for sure, have to start (and remind every quarter of the year) a new reminder thread with the message to not forget, that the promotion did end!

Sitting is a suite in Oslo right now. Cost? 10,000 HH points. Hmmm, that is about a year of updates. Tomorrow we will be in a Scandic SUITE in central Copenhagen. (HH have guaranteed this) Also cost only 10,000 points. The HH confirmation slip said room cost in DKK was $US430. These updates are magic, and the Scandic rates are insane if you get them at the 10,000 figure.

The Hilton update bonus does still work. I just did it, 2 months late. The key is that not every change gives you the points; updating my phone number and preferred airline didn't, but updating my address did.

It still works. Sadly I was only awarded 1.000 bonus points. But hey, the account is brand-new and now I have 5000 points without ever staying at a Hilton hotel.

I could only get the points by changing something on my address. Did anyone get points for changing something else?

You have to press the SAVE button after the change. This button, however, does not show up on every page...

Thank you! Everyone should start practicing profile-changing, getting ready for July 1. I think that 20 minutes a day of practice would be enough for most experienced FT'ers.

Incorrect.

The survey I took two weeks ago posted to my AA account. When I took another survey yesterday, the website said I'd be receiving AA miles.

Check it out.

And if you haven't been to www.opinionplace.com in two weeks, make sure to go and take a survey for up to 300 AA miles.

Hey -- we could start a whole new reminder thread! Or not . . .
</font>
gleff, what am I doing wrong? Spent about 10 minutes answering the survey's questions, and then got a message saying (in effect) that they dont have a survey that fits my interests/qualifications. No miles. No thanks.

Are they looking for people who make the spending decision about only certain products, or people who have only certain occupations?

Hilton also allows you to set up a username and password instead of having to use your account number, you get the 1,000 points for that too (at least I did yesterday)
