Why does MilesBuzz have so many closed threads?

Just curious. I see far more closed threads here than anywhere else. (I wonder if this one will get closed?)

Quickly before it does get closed:

Because it has so many off topic threads that do not belong here.

The description of this forum is:
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">Discussion of the latest frequent flyer program buzz... </font>
When someone starts a thread that doesn't deal with frequent flyer programs (such as a general travel topic), it gets closed or moved. For whatever reason, this forum is the one that generates the most off-topic posts.

Is this a "trick" question, by chance?

Because so many folks make posts here such as this one and the initial post that initiated this very thread!

With the tab button at the top of the page, this is the easiest board to post on, hence a lot of errant posts. And it's also the board that is moderated the most, hence a lot more policing.

PS: I wish someone would close the 5-page long "BA/OK" thread and put a certain someone out of his misery...

SotB: It is now six pages and headed downhill even faster than before.

Moderators: This one is now COMPLETELY off-topic. Shut IT down too, PLEASE.

Then there is the related problem of mislabeled threads, or intentionally misleading topic headings like the BA/OK title referenced above.

Randy, it would be nice if topic originators could edit their headings to focus the responses and--with the wisdom of hindsight--change the titles to what they "really meant to say."

Alternatively, at the very least, moderators should have this power.

Leave it up a while longer. Maybe someone will get a clue. Let's see if we get a new off-topic post while this is still up.
