And, don't forget 'off-the-radar' gifts. i.e. people who gave away to friends/family/colleagues without ever mentioning anything here on the boards.

Also, some people may have let InsideFlyer decide how to distribute the subscriptions as gifts. (I think somewhere on their web page it said they'd be happy to take care of distributing extra subscriptions if you didn't want to do it yourself.)

p.s. a quick question for those who bought last minute subscriptions (phoned in on saturday/sunday June 29/30): Have your miles posted yet? I'm no where near concerned yet, since InsideFlyer did say it could take up to several weeks, but just curious.

I spoke to the people at Inside Flyer today and they said that they were so overwhelmed with calls on Saturday and Sunday (the 29th and 30th of June)that they will finally be transfering the Starwood Points on July 11th. The last transfer that took place occured on June 28th. From my previous experience, if you bought subscriptions on June 29th or 30th, look for your Starwood Points to hit your account around July 18th or 19th at the earliest. It may be longer given the volume of transfers.

I spoke with Michelle at IF, and she is sending the transfer to *W on Friday. This transfer will cover those from about the 28th to the 30th of July. She is going on vacation, and said she wants to get this settled prior to her leaving.

My earlier order of the 25th of July posted in 7 days to *W. I would imaging that next Friday or Saturday, the point should start showing up.

I hope this helps.

I am sure that there are many like me. I ordered 100 subscriptions (for starwoods promo) to be given away at InsideFlyers discretion (let us strengthen our community). I am planning on ordering another 100 for the Diners promotion (to park in BA account). I travel BA a lot but have not had reason to use up the miles yet but at less than $.02 it is a decent buy and we are helping InsideFlyer increase subscription base.

My insideflyer miles just posted to Starwood this morning. I'd ordered the subscriptions by phone on saturday June 29th.

Excellent!

Now I can rule the world! Or, at least fly all over it for free (well, very cheap, since I did pay for the miles).

My guess is that a juicy 5 digit number of subs were ordered due to this promo. One of the best deals of recent times for the buyers. More power to Randy and his team. I imagine successful campaigns like that partly assist keeping this superb BB board running, and hence a win, win, win for all parties.

It is slowly starting to sink in, I am going to realise a childhood dream, flying on Concorde

Thanks Randy!
