No FFB on Travelocity purchases?
I just flew ORD-AMS on Singapore and was looking forward to getting UA mileage credit. Now I find that Travelocity does not give FFB for this itinerary. I've booked alot on Orbitz and Expedia and never had this happen. What gives? Can I do anything or can I kiss the 8000+ miles goodbye as a lesson learned?

First of all I would like to welcome you to Flyertalk.com
A few booking clases at SQ doesnt earn any miles. I believe those classes are Q,N,V and G. So if your ticket is booked in one of those clases you are out of luck.

Thanks for the quick reply. And if were more knowledgeable I would have gone directly to the Singapore Airlines forum and seen this verification of your answer. I had been looking more closely at Travelocity for the problem:

Thanks. Here is a cut and paste of the relevant post on SQ forum:
From SQs web site: http://www.singaporeair.com/saa/app/...Miles-Airlines
If any flight sector with Singapore Airlines is issued on V, Q, G or N booking class, the entire flight itinerary will not be eligible for mileage credit.

It's just a case of your specific SQ ticket containing a G, N, V or Q class segment, rather than a Travelocity-wide problem.
Your tickets in Orbitz and Expedia merely didn't contain those segments that renders the whole PNR non mileage-earning.

Thanks. The whole thing surprised me because it is the first time I have ever flown a flight that did not allow FFB. This is the first time I have flown SQ, I guess I should have let my company pay a higher fare and flown UA or KLM. Any other non-mileage earning flight gotchas out there?
