gold/plat challenge simultaneously?

gold/plat challenge simultaneously?
is it possible to register for both the aa platinum challenge and the gold challenge at the same time in case you fall short? i just don't feel confident in my understanding of fare classes and which award you one q point for one mile. i'd hate to miss out on a technicality because i only got half a mile per mile flown.

Anyways, you can't do simultaneous challenge in the sense of double-dippling. You can do consequetive challenges, though.
