Are SWUs and VIPs the only game in town?

I notice lots of activity regarding UA SWUs and AA VIPs--both of which I am familiar with for international upgrades. Do the other major US Airlines not have similar offerings for their most loyal frequent flyers?

NW has just recently launched systemwide upgrades for those top-tier elites who go well beyond the top-tier qualification threshold and select them as a benefit.

DL gives heavily-restricted (good only on the most expensive fares) systemwide upgrades to Delta top-tier frequent flyers but they are not transferable.

US used to have systemwide upgrades, but I don't know what's up with that nowadays (if anything).

US Airways gives Chairmans Preferred members 2 systemwide (Europe & Hawaii) upgrade certificates good for a one way upgrade with a companion. They are only good on higher fare classes.

SWUs and VIPs are transferable and more prevalent, so that's probably why you see them more than others.
