Sorry I offended

When I was talking about the computer miles thing, I did not realize anyone knew or cared what it was. I wanted to give a tip that was helpful, but it turned out to be a bad topic. I'm sorry that I caused problems. Good luck to all on your quest for miles. Please email me if you want to say something mean. I'd rather get slammed in private.

SOL42020--Please don't take the response to your first post as negatively, and please continue to participate if you are interested. Unfortunately, bulletin Boards like this one are sometimes frequented by persons seeking to tout a commercial venture with which they have some affiliation. Unfortunately, as well, there are many travel schemes that are blatant frauds or rip-offs. You happen to have been sucked in by one with which many FTers have had bad experiences.

It would appear that you genuinely wanted to participate. Please continue. Remember that the criticism is from individuals that you do not know, and who do not know you. Take it with a grain of salt, and I hope you find lots of good information here.

It is very considerate of you to post an apology and I'm sure the community accepts it. Your mistake was an honest one, and you are more than welcome at Flyertalk.

If you are interested in talking about travel and miles and points and all that good stuff, you've found your home on the internet!

Again, welcome aboard!

It happen to me when I was new, I offended several users with a topic that sounded like RACIST. I did the same thing you did: I APOLOGYSE, I also edited my topic.

I was new, and also I do not write good english because I AM A LATINO. Every body understanded my explanation.

However in your case, I liked your topic, I signed in. SO PLEASE KEEP PARTICPATING, WELCOME TO THE BOARD AND THANKS FOR THE INFO.

Wow! This has to be a first -- someone apologizing for something he said on the boards?

An idea for a next post: the thread about handle origins (in Community), I'm curious about yours!

These boards, at times, can be extremely brutal to newbies. I ran into some rather nasty comments during one of my first posts, which stopped me from actively participating in the FlyerTalk community.

Put it behind you and ingore the flames from some rather agressive individuals.

P.S. Welcome to FlyerTalk!

Been there done that, got the T-Shirt It seems this may be a right of passage for some of us. Don't worry, it happened to me and was a huge misunderstanding. When we write things, it may come across in a different manner than we intended.

Welcome and enjoy the boards

I care if the person who suggests the tip owns the company and makes $ off of me joining/participating in the "tip" but does not disclose that information. As you did not disclose in your initial post.
