Connecting Flights
I believe this question may have been asked here before but even though I have carried out a search I just can't locate it.
I am wondering if someone can tell me the minimum time allowed for connecting flights?. I am looking for an AA flight MEX - MIA arriving at 15:29 and hope to catch a connecting flight at 17:05 to MGA (from MIA). In the process I was hoping to check my luggage into the storage area of MIA airport and just take carry on luggage with me. Would 1.5 hours suffice or am I just too unrealistic?. In addtion, if the flight were to be delayed out of MEX, thus missing the next flight, am I stranded in MIA for the rest of my life?. NB// This is a trip using my FF points.

I'm going to transfer this thread to American, so their regular flyers can help you with an answer.
