Warning: $5 fee per item returned @ Overstock.com
I recently bought a couple items at Overstock.com through their mileage promotion. When I received the items I was not satisfied with them (multiple of the same item) and went through the process to return them.
I found out that there is a $4.95 fee per item returned regardless of the reason for return! Yes, I know it was in the fine print that I should have read, but I'm very surprised at this as it wasn't anything electronic which is usually what is subject to restocking fees.
So, if you buy anything from there make sure you know the brand and exactly what you want before you buy!!!
And, no we don't get miles on the restocking fee!

MilesBuzz?
Well intentioned, no doubt, but under this logic, any problem with any retailer that you can earn miles with can be posted here (or perhaps any problem with anyone from whom you purchased something with a mileage earning credit card). MilesBuzz would get kinda clogged. I'd suggest Spam or Omni.

This doesn't really have anything to do with the latest frequent flyer program buzz, so I'm going to close it here.

Overstock.com return policies really aren't "the latest frequent flyer program buzz." I will close the thread here in the MilesBuzz forum.
For what it's worth, I could imagine posting this issue in response to a thread about an Overstock mileage offer, perhaps as part of evaluating whether a mileage-earning purchase was worth the hassle, but it doesn't strike me as appropriate for a standalone thread in this forum.
Appreciate the good intentions of the original poster in sharing this with fellow travelers in the community, however.
