YGM I would love to have a subscription. You're the third person I've asked for a sub. I am begging. Thank you in advance

Durn.

I may sign up myself - what did 10 cost, and does that get the Concorde flight for sure?

Ive heard some people are ordering -say- 50 subscriptions and then donating them to libraries and charities and claiming them as a deduction. Does this work, and cant this be observed/contested by the IRS?

Can anyone answer or comment on Gaucho100K's question? I'm interested in ordering several subs and donating them to libraries...

Thanks!

If I am right this promotion isn's nearly as good as I thought it was:
Seeing this very generous offer from the Starwood Inside flyer magazine I explored their website to learn as much as I could. I was surprised to learn that contrary to what I see people saying the number of airmiles you can gain through this promotion are very limited.
From http://www.starwood.com/preferredgue..._checkRoc.html
Listed below are the frequent flyer programs to which Starwood Preferred Guests can transfer StarpointsSM-up to 99,999 Starpoints per program! (Please note that certain airlines set their own limits, and that the exchange rate varies by airline.) Plus, for every 20,000 Starpoints transferred, Starwood will automatically add another 5,000 Starpoints to the total-making a free flight that much closer.1

Each airlines has its own limits to the number of miles you can transfer. To see each airlines rules go to:
http://www.starwood.com/preferredgue..._partners.html

Quantas, for example, the most valuable option right now has this restriction:
http://www.starwood.com/preferredgue...s_airways.html
Qantas Airways
Starwood Preferred Guest members can transfer up to 39,999 Starpoints into Qantas Frequent Flyer points at a 1-to-2 ratio. And for every 20,000 Starpoints transferred, you'll earn 5,000 bonus Starpoints, which will be automatically added to your transfer. There is no minimum point transfer requirement for Platinum members. Gold members have a minimum point transfer of 1,500 Starpoints and Preferred members have a minimum point transfer of 2,500.

So unless I am missing something here, my dreams of flying the BA concord cheap through Quantas will never come to pass. Please email me [email protected] if you have thouroughly checked this program out and I am indeed missing something ie: there is actually a way to buy a lot of cheap flights.

Hope this was helpful.

I am looking for American and United International Upgrades for travel (to Europe) this summer. I am a student trying to work my way through college so cant offer an awful lot in return but would appreciate any help. I have some AA miles, 1 NWA anywhere in N.A. cert, and $50 off UAL certs I mights be able to trade. Thanks.

The limits are per transaction. You can have one transaction per airline per day. So, it might take you a few days to transfer a large number of miles, but I don't think it's that big a deal in the grand scheme of things. I do think that this could be spelled out a bit clearer on the website, but my interpretation has been confirmed by our very own Starwood Lurker.
