I love Ambien, but I've been very wary of it after hearing your experience. Normally I sleep fitfully at best on airplanes, thanks to Ambien I can sleep very well and wake completely refreshed. But, on flights less than 12 hours, I've been afraid to take it as I sleep for at least 8 hours when using it! I'd hate to wake up in police custody after having slagged off a customs agent in China or something like that! ;D
