Well I do give them a bit of a perk...I finance them for a few months. But I just request a zero percent balance transfer from my other Citi card so its free for me. It works out well because many of my friends are college seniors with no money now but signing bonuses on the way. After next semester I'll just have to hope for lazy. |
[QUOTE=ET]Also, I keep getting "business" credit card applications, but I work for a big company (not a home business or anything). Can I apply for a "business" credit card or do I need my own TIN and company name, etc?
QUOTE] This is a great way to 'double up', especially from AMEX which doesn't give the signup bonus more than once per affinity card (dispite send you the app and opening an account). I am employed by a large Company but am also a CPA who does work and taxes for friends and family - but I've never accepted a dime of $ for it. I've never, ever been asked for a TIN / EIN or other documentation other than my basic SSN. Just add CPA's or & Co. to the end of your name as a "business" and you are in. Or if you have a hobby or side business, just use that. The bottom line is that no doc is necessary - whose to say you aren't in the early start up / formation stages and are getting your financing in order? You'll always be personally responsible for the debt anyway, not the "small business". |
