Know of a Reverse Dream Map?

I've been quietly learning at your collective knee for about four months and have to give a big thank you to all of the posters here at FT. There is not a day that goes by where I'm not impressed with the ingenuity and clever methods mentioned on this forum. I have gained about 60K miles (without taking a mile-earning flight) since I started reading, through your various tips and strategies, and while I think that's awesome, I realize that I still have much to learn. Thank you!

Now the question: I didn't see this in the FAQs nor by searching, but maybe I'm using the wrong terminology.

Is there a way to do a reverse look up for flights from various arrival cities all going to one destination? Yahoo Best Fares seems to have some of this capability, as it seems to work with hubs like BWI, but I need GRB and it's not giving it to me. Your expertise is, as always, very appreciated.

If you assume that the round-trip fare between AAA-BBB is the same as the round-trip fare between BBB-AAA (and most of the time, it is), then you can just do your dream maps from GRB and all of the fares displayed should also be valid (with very few, if any, exceptions) to GRB.

I've used this method several times with trying to match up two fares into one (i.e. ATL-XXX, XXX-LAX). First I use the ATL dream map to see what's cheap from ATL, then the LAX dream map to see what's cheap to LAX. If I find the same city in both lists, I'm golden.

And welcome to FlyerTalk!

Welcome to Flyertalk.

Your question appears to have been answered, and this really doesn't have anything to do with miles or points, I'm going to close it here.

Regards,
