Our site was Stolen From Skytrax ??????

I am just opening a new thread about this issue, because I have to respond to this issue.

Dobby told us that our site was a copy of the www.XXXX.com. in thread www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum1/HTML/006366.html

First of all we where the ounces who where being threatened with legal actions by Skytrax last month.

Sorry but they are not going to take any action against us because there is no prove.

I am working as a journalist and together with our auditors we make our own surveys.

The problem was that we used the term Star Ranking (which is Trade marked as they said) Now they have put the TM symbol behind that term and not before.

We are using now the ATC star Rankings and this is not a copy of Skytrax.

Our ranking is a lot different than Skytrax, check it your self.

If you name skytrax with a hyperlink do it than also with our site so that people can check what you say.

www.XXXX.html.

I hope that other people can see the difference.

Anyway Skytrax says that SQ is not up to standards, but they get 5 stars strains.
Skytrax got paid by the airline industry and we don't so that is the difference.

Please help me to understand this. You are a journalist that has less command of the english language than a 5th grader? Now I can understand if the alasta website were written in another language however ALL materials have been in English. I think this is beyond pushing it, I think it's already been pushed over the edge. Do me a favor, keep this kinda stuff on Airliners.net where it belongs.

Edited to note : VS ranks as a 5 star airline and CX/SQ don't??? *LOL* Looks like someone shuffled their rankings rapidly to avoid looking like SkyTrax.

Waitasec, why isn't Infinite Airways listed anywhere??? Come now, you MUST know them well!

That seems to be supporting my claim that you were plagiarizing Skytrax's Web site.

Regardless, all of your postings have been ads for your company. The first was a chain-mail scam posted in OMNI and the one that was recently closed was an ad for your Web site's redesign.

In summary, the policy is that you are not allowed to post commercial advertisements. If you would like to advertise, I'm sure that you can contact the FT management about purchasing advertising space.

From the FT rules:

"Commercial Messages

Posts containing promotional messages for commercial or charitable products or services -- included but not limited to Internet sites, business advertisements and solicitations to donate miles or points -- will be removed...

If you spot an unauthorized commercial post, please notify a TalkAssist volunteer."

Not only have your posts fallen under the category of commercial advertisements, they have also been posted in the wrong forum.

Thanks for your cooperation. I'm sure you'll agree that the less unauthorized advertisements on FT, the better it is for everyone.

Looks like the difference is pretty clear: Your site sucks and is a lame copy of the Skytrax, while Skytrax looks like it has original content (without a retarted small frame in the middle with text that doesn't wrap around properly).

So yes, I think people can see the difference...

This is the second time I've had to intercede as a moderator on this exact subject. Firstly, it doesn't belong in Buzz. Second, there is something that smells of a commercial posting.

So here's the scoop. I'm going to close this post.

An FYI to Bathurst. The third time will not be "a charm". Anything even remotely resembling a commercial posting will be removed (versus closed).
