Miles for moving?

Any way to get miles for a cross-country move, aside from the obvious of charging it to a miles-linked credit card? That is, are there ways to get miles for renting a U-Haul or similar rental truck? Thanks.

United and Hilton both have programs that you can get a moving company to move you for miles. But I don't know of any program that will give you extra miles if you do the move yourself.

It's been discussed on some threads on here before.

IIRC, I've seen Hertz & Budget rental trucks .. whether you could put one on your member-account .. ?? .. hmmm.

Guess I'd check the local phonebook, find a familiar name, and then see if the *car* reservations folks will talk to you...

Good Luck

There's actually a company called Points for Moving (www.pointsformoving.com). Found it on Amtrak's website, but I've never used the service.
