Help - How to optimize AirJapan Miles

How to Transfer miles from JapanAir to NWA?
OK experts,
I have booked a ticket from IND-NYC-Tokyo-ORD-IND, first leg is on Delta, the remaining 3 legs of the trip are on Japan Air. Is it possible to accumulate miles on just one airline for such a trip. (I would prefer to get NWA miles, they are a Delta partner, but not a JAL partner) .
Or am I stuck with having to get AA miles through JAL or something?
Any input is appreciated..

This question is more appropriate for MilesBuzz than Mileage Run, so I'm moving it there.
That said, you can put it all to AF & keep it all on one SkyTeam carrier.

Thanks for the AirFrance idea. I apologize for being such a noob, but if I put these miles on AF/Flying Blue, can I then tranfer them from FB to NWA Worldperks and accumulate status and reward points without a hitch?
