Atlanta question

1. Where to stay at/near Buckhead.
2. Dining choices at/near Buckhead.
3. Drinking choices at/near Buckhead.

I'm holding a conference there and would like to be able to treat my clients to something special. Last year I had it in San Antonio at the Westin.

Thanks

My Choice for hotel - The Ritz Carlton Buckhead - wonderful and dinner go no further than down to "The Dining Room"
Drinking can't help usually have wine right there.

Swissotel or the Ritz. They're across the street from eachother. Swissotel is generally a younger (30s) professional crowd than the Ritz.

The Palm in the Swissotel is a great steak/lobster type place.

There's a fondue place across from the Swissotel and next to the Ritz that's good, but I think it burned down or something.

Brasserie le Coze is a nice french restaurant in Lenox mall (sounds lame/cheap/etc, but it's not) that's within walking distance of both hotels. From the Ritz, you have to cross the street, so take the hotel towncar.

Swissotel has a nice bar connected to The Palm, but it closes early. There's a huge bar/club scene right nearby, though. It's trivial to navigate -- you'll be fine for everything.

Enjoy your trip.

Two weeks would be perfect. In fact, I'm going to be there myself in two weeks checking out the Westin and Crowne Plaza. Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated.

I have not stayed in Buckhead, as most of my business is elsewhere in ATL, however I have eaten at Chops and quite liked it. It a traditional Steak and Lobster place.

The CP is realy just a renovated Holiday Inn. I stayed there a while back. It is pretty unimpressive. There is a decent Embassy Suites in Buckhead. While there, you should go to Bonz. It is one of the best steakhouses in America. My wife and I flew down in April and went to dinner at Brassiere La Coze. I agree. with the prior post like it is in a mall; but it is top notch. I recommend the skate.

Try the Buckhead Diner.

I ate here on one of the most stressful working days of my life, and my cares melted away as I savored a fine bottle of champagne and an excellent piece of fish (grouper, I believe).

There are many fine restaurants in the Buckhead area. What type of food would you prefer? All the above listed hotels are nice.
