Perhaps you should talk with a minister. It looks as if your life is devoted to SIN.

I'm somewhat addicted myself, and worse, I got another friend addicted to mileage runs!

It was funny. October last year I explained about FlyerTalk, and the concept of mileage runs. He sounded vaguely interested. Next thing I know he's going to Hawaii and Paris on super cheap tickets, double miles, and BOOM! Instead of being a no-status flyer next year, he's Delta gold.

I saw him Friday at the office, leaving to fly somewhere. He'd printed out some sort of Mileage Run Primer he found on this site, to read on the plane.

I wonder if this is how drug pushers get their start...

I am not addicted to miles, points or Kellogs cereal!!! I don't even have status with any program. However, I check this board religiously to maximize He Who Must Fly accounts. It is through his acounts that I envision my days of first class travel, luxuary hotel rooms and free internet service.

Does that make me co-dependent?

I don't believe I am a FF addict; however, I am always disturbed by the fact when I leave my computer for 5 minutes and I find no new posts to my favorite forums when I return.

We crazy Canucks have scheduled a support meeting for Edmonton Alberta on 24 January,2002. The downside is that we are even more hooked when we share strategies to fly.

so do we have enough members in Vegas for a flyer addiction support group???

:-) :-)

I'm afraid we'll have members of our local chapter come in from *all* over the country though, considering LAS is normally the *best* place to do a mileage run due to extremely low fares....

:: thinks some more ::

OK, maybe Las Vegas *ISN'T* the place to hold a flyer addiction group...... heh

Hi, my name is Kathy, and I am a WWW addict!

If FlyerTalk didn't exist, I would STILL be a WWW addict!

Poly-website-abuse.

Hello eastwest,spiff

For me it all started like this.I was trying to calculate mileage for an international flight so I went to google and it linked me to FT (webflyer actually). One hit and I was hooked.Yesterday(when site was down) slight withdrawal symptoms. One day at a time.

I only use flyer talk socially.

actually, I have to lie to my friends when they ask why my line is always busy. Plus, I have to lie & instead of saying " I read on FT.... I have to say...someone at work told me..." It's getting harder & harder to cover my tracks. Please someone help me stop the madness!!!:O

Same here. I started noticing that everytime I start a sentence resembling "I read on FlyerTalk..." all my coworkers/boss start laughing with a certain look to each other. But, anytime we get someone new in my department, my boss always introduces me with "If you want to find any deals or information about travel, ask Stefanie."

I guess I will have to start saying, "A friend told me..."
