Chicago Layover Using FF Award?

Is it possible to fly from Orlando to Las Vegas with a two-three day layover in Chicago using a Mileage Award?

I'm aware that flights from Orlando to Las Vegas are cheap but I have some miles to burn.

United told me that it is not possible with award travel.

Anybody know of any other airline or a loop hole to achieve this result?

Thanks... and Happy New Year.

American allows a free "stopover" when traveling on an award ticket, making this possible.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

CO OnePass offers a stopover ticket for 35K instead of the usual 25K. I have never actually used one though, so I'm not familiar with all the fine print.
