Question on redeeming miles (help!)
Okay, I'll admit it. When it comes to accruing miles, I personally think I'm pretty savvy. However, when it comes time to redeem miles, I'm totally clueless. You'd figure after earning 300k miles in various programs this past year, I'd actually USE some of them, but I've never had the opprotunity to have done so. For some reason search is crapping out on me right now so I apologize in advance if it's been discussed before.
I am in Taipei right now, need to go to BKK and KUL. Is it possible to do a OW or ST award to KUL with a stopover? Will it take 20k miles (zone 2 to zone 2 with stopoer) or will it take 40k (2 sepertate roundtrips)? I can also make this trip into a circle trip if that can also minimize the miles needed.
I have a decent stack of miles on both NWA Worldperks, AA, or could swap in CC to another program. Are there any alliances/airlines that allow you to stopover on a reward ticket?
Thanks.
PB

Since both BKK and KUL are in the same region, I don't think that you would be allowed a stopover. But I could be wrong. (I hope I am!
