Goldpoints account under investigation???

I got around 4million goldpoints and when I called in the person put me on hold then told me the account was under investigation because I had so many points. Anyone else encounter this problem? How was it resolved? Also, how long does it take for United, AA, Northwest miles to show up? AC seems to be 3-4 days...

Well, if you're scamming them like you implied in the other thread, I can't see what you have to complain about! Easy come, easy go my friend.

I didn't say that I bought any magazines. In fact my gold points account has no subscriptions. I was just telling you what other people have been doing in the other thread.

So where. pray tell, did you get 4 million GoldPoints? That's a lot of Hickory Farms nuts, if you ask me...

Hickory farms has 40% off so I bought stuff there but points are original cost. No point in getting mags I don't use... At least I can buy lobster tails, steaks, etc. At 40% off, it's almost worth the price so the points are free as I see it.

It is not our business how he got 4 Mio. Goldpoints. However, I would have transfered some GP before, and see if and how it works. Actually I transfer any points as soon as I can - who knows how long Goldpoints, Greenpoints and others exist.
To answer one question: I transfered GP to American Airlines miles and it took only a couple of days.

Except that he/she certainly implied in several other threads that the GoldPoints were acquired through clearly fraudulent means.

yes - while i don't think it's our business to figure out how he got his goldpoints at all, it's worth asking when he's suggested fraudulent methods of obtaining GPs before.

Cactuspete,
well, fraudulant or not, this "smart" guy/girl has "out-smarted" him/her-self.
The Goldpoints are now sitting on his/her account .. maybe forever.
BTW, I never found out what was so great with Goldpoints. I just got a few Goldpoints while staying at Radisson (and transefered them ASAP).
I personally believe Goldpoints, Greenpoints, What-ever-Points ... will be gone soon.

4:1 points-to-miles redemption to 10-12 diferent airlines.

I think GoldPoints has a better chance of survival. It is part of a much bigger company, as opposed to many of the other programs which were independent.
