Checking Award Availability on Individual Airlines
Which airlines will let you check award availability online (via their website for members) even if the required miles are not in the account yet? Also, will any of them let you check award availability on partner airlines (codeshare or non-codeshare as well)? Thanks.

KLM does but you need to be member (although unreliable)
Continental is excellent - no membership needed. shows Co, AS, NW (but NW seems limited)
NWA does. Has a 7 day search feature. NWA japan was once excellent
Delta does but terrible way coz you can only look up 1 day at a time.
Air Canada is fantastic but you are limited to AC only.

Here are some sites that let you check award availability:
ExpertFlyer: Shows award buckets for AA, QF, TA, AF
These airline websites let you search availability without having the miles (must be a member):
BA, LA, JL, UA, DL, CX, NH*, QF*
These sites you can search without being a member:
CO*, NW*
(*) - shows partner availability as well

Is ANA's website the best method for checking NZ availability (as NZ's own ff scheme doesn't seem to utilize capacity controlled awards) using miles from other *A carriers? Also, does ANA let you check even if you don't have the miles? Thanks.
