How crazy about air miles are you?
To celebrate frequent-flyer programs' 25 birthday CNN Business Traveller is looking for the craziest frequent flyers that have managed to earn the most air miles using the broad ranging scope of airline and non-airline rewards schemes.
Whether you love air miles or you hate them, we would like to hear from you!

We don't like to use the word "crazy" around here. Passionate. Intense. Obsessive. Dedicated. Creative. But never crazy.

Fortunately, "mile mania" is a self limiting disease.
At some point you'll accumulate more than you could possibly use. I would say award availability will become the main factor preventing you from cashing in those miles, and soon thereafter the "thrill" will be gone

Quite a few posts from those who "used to be miles-crazy, but not now." I suppose the person who's still miles-crazy doesn't know s/he's crazy.

.In the past 5 yeras I have burned almost 1 million miles on various airlines and I got another 500,000 or so to go. If I fly paid, I sitll collect miles, but I couldn't care less what airline they are from. (I'll use them when I have enough) I now go for the best fare. (especially business class consolidators).
My loyalty is long gone to any specific airline and I figure that some of them won't even exist in five years.
Flying just isn't what it used to be.
