Cool OnePass to Mileage Plus

I have 45,000 CO miles that I would like to convert to UA MP, does anyone know the best way?

No direct transfer, and not one to one mile transfer - prepare to lose lot of miles. Might want to look at Points.com for an idea of swap losses. Or Webflyer.com and look for "Mileage Converter" on left side of page.

http://www.webflyer.com/programs/mil...rter/index.php shows the way but you just end up with 5,000 UA miles.

What do you need the miles for? If you'd like a *A award or the like, you're better off using CC to trade with enough FT'er (once you've met the pre-req's). If you want them just to top off your UA account, webflyer or points.com is going to be the way to go.

OP won't be able to use CC for atleast 3 months.

Untrue. OP's sign up date is 09/2005, not to mention that admission into CC is often "fast-tracked" for posters who make strong contributions to the FT community.

I used to live in MAN and fly back to EWR 6 times a year. I have sinced moved to ORD and now UA is my carrier of choice. I actually managed to get Silver Elite with CO but never used it and now they have taken it back. Ideally, I'd like to have enough UA miles to travel somewhere in F or C for Oct 2007 for two people.

Unless you fly a great deal, you best consider an affiliated credit card as a source of miles. You will never get the CO miles to UA in a meaningful manner. Use the CO miles to fly FC domestic somewhere for a great weekend.

Thanks for the webflyer link - maybe I will convert to HHonors - I think I used to have some points with them.

Thanks everyone!
