Wow. I thought I was done crying. I guess the pain will always be there. Amazing effort.

A wonderful tribute! Brings tears to my eyes!

Everyone in the World should experience this presentation of events!

All the TV reports put together and replayed hundreds of times do not have the impact of one viewing of this fine work!

This must be presented on every Network on a daily basis. Hopefully it will be brought to the attention of the various Media.

Thank you.

Agreed.

I think they should also play it for the Navy, Air Force and Marine aviators before they go on their bombing runs.

Dan;

Thanks a million. Just to further emphasis that every face has a family, J.D. was the proverbial teddy-bear of a guy. A Harley-riding cowboy-saint with a great sense of humor and a generous heart and a taste for P.B.R.. He left behind a son- who I wouldn't be surprised to see follow in his footsteps. Tragically, he got engaged to a woman (a former actress from a very popular 70's show,) not too long ago.

I was there the night they met (I think) several years ago at a NY bar that we both frequented (very frequented) Hogs & Heifers. They had fallen out of touch for a couple of years but re-established about a year ago or so, from what I understand. He called her 9/11 as he climbed the stairs in the Trade Center to tell her he was fine and not to worry.

J.D. was supposed to be off on 9/11 but had taken overtime and was one of the earlier responding police officers-- he was a Port Authority P.O. and WTC was a Port Authority thing.

On-duty or off, this man would put his life on the line for you. That's what he lived to do.

What an outrageous, senseless thing it is that he is no longer with us. My anger and sadness know no depths.

James Leahy I didn't know as well, except to say he was a hell of a cop and a wonderful guy. He leaves a wife and three children. I am the president of his Memorial fund and if anyone is inclined, here are the details.

James Leahy Family Fund
attn: Det. Mike Singer
6th Police Precinct
233 West 10th Street
New York, N.Y. 10014

If you are in the NYC area, the precinct sells a really nice memorial t-shirt with his shield number on it for $10-- which goes to the family as well. Mention my name, Jon Posner, if you see Det. Singer.

I wear mine proudly.

There is a special place in he*l for the a****les that did this. I don't think I ever understood the depth of emotion my parent's generation felt about WWII until this happened.

I have no idea how I will ever be able to forgive the countries that sponsored this despicable carnage, even many years from now when the people who caused it have been wiped from the earth.

Wow.......it's all I could say as I looked for a Kleenex to wipe my eyes.

I sent it to my e-mail list and people have been mailing me back with the same sentiments.
