Olympic Aiways

A friend of mine bought himself a ticket to fly from Germany to Australia in business class on Olympic Airways in February. It was about DM 3.100 and therefore at least cheap considering that biz class tickets on that route are usually DM 5.000 upwards.

Now here we go - he just asked me if I would like to come with him to Oz. I'm a frequent flyer with Star Alliance and Wings and therefore wouldn't normally even consider going on Olympic, especially as I've heard a lot of negative things about them.

So I wonder if any one has any experience on Olympic's business product (including seats, meals, lounges, services, etc.) and if you would take the risk(?) flying with them taking ino account the reasons mentioned above (cheap fare and travelling together with the friend)?
Is there any opportunity to earn miles for Olympic flights on any major frequent flier scheme?
Thanks!
