It's like "shipping & handling" with products, or the "transportation fee" for a new car. They charge you so much on this line, but their costs can often be lower.

If Hotwire referenced "fees" in the line, it's completely legit. Whether you go through orbitz, hertz, priceline, or the airline, use the bottom line to compare prices.

For airfares, Hotwire has been fine.

Look, its buyer beware out there. So, thanks for the beware...but 'fraud' might be a tough characterization; maybe 'profit maximizers' is more apppropriate.

It seems the 'nickels and dimes' are starting to add up to some serious coinage!
