LAX/SFO security lines update
It's been a while since we had postings about the situation at LAX and SFO security lines. How long is it taking now? And how are check-in lines, esp. at peak morning/afternoon hours?

I flew out of SFO about 10 days ago. Arrived at the airport at 7:10AM for a 9:30AM flight. I checked my bag at the American ticket counter (First class, so not much of a line) and got through security in less than 10 minutes. I'll be doing it again next Wednesday.

I did essentially the same thing as DMK yesterday (11/7) with essentially the same results (10 minute security line). So that seems somewhat standard for that time of day. I did notice that the Red Carpet Club seemed to be much more full than I have ever seen it it must be due to people spending more time at the airport.

I went through LAX terminal 6 the last few nights and it was DEAD! On a Saturday a few weeks ago, went through ID check in terminal 1 and it took about 20 minutes.

LAX T-1 (Southwest, America West, US Air) can be a nightmare and when I drove by it the other day, the line was several BLOCKs long! T-3 and T-4 (both of which I've used in the past week for AA flights) were just fine. I hear United T-7 has been tough since the Chicago problem.
