miles newbie

i have a ffp account with UA - and get frustrated tryin to accumulate miles from outside the usa. i don't fly a great deal - the points were originally from a trip i took a few years ago and the ffp account i had here in australia was with ansett (omg they went under). The long and the short is i'm looking for some hints and tips to get some points to make the ones i have with UA useful for a trip to the usa next year...

any help greatly appreciated.

p.s. - if this isn't in the right forum - let me know cos i did apply some thought to getting it right - but i am willing to admit i did end up guessing if this was the right spot.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

As it appears you seem to be mostly interested in enhancing your United account, I will be moving your question to the United board. You should get some comments posted from the good people that hang out there.

Regards.
