WE'RE BACK!

Phew! I was having FT withdrawals. But it seems that everything is back online. And all the messages seem to be here too. Welcome back everyone.

Looks like we have our cookies back as well! Seems to be slightly faster too?

This new version seems faster. No complaints from here.

I noticed that our e-mail addresses have disappeared out of the profiles. I think we'll need to update that manually.

Don't you just love the new 'edit' feature. I do.

Hmm. The profile updater won't let me show my e-mail address. ([email protected])... It tells me that another registered user is using that address.

Rudi - when you get back from the Jungfrau, please find Ghost2 and change its e-mail address to something other than mine!!

This is just to let everyone know that the email situation is not a problem with the new version of this board.

We opted to turn off the public display of all email addresses as we felt some people might not appreciate having their email address displayed for the whole world to see.

The displaying of email addresess makes it easier for harvesting and spaming. However, seeing as we've never had a complaint about it, and we seem to be having many objections to the present situation, I'm going to go ahead and turn them back on.

Please continue to test our board and give us this feedback so we have an idea as to what needs fixing and/or improved. Thank you all very much for your wonderful and kind encouragement.

Very good upgrade to the system FlyerTalk webmasters. IT's working faster on my system (I also upgraded my Netscape Browser to 4.01
so that's helping too.)

It's also great that FlyerTalk's back in teh air before monday. I miss reading the posts,
seeing what my Friends are thinking and getting a few laughs, esp: JAWSII!

Question: why is teh space for the name of the moderator blank? Is it a "secret" moderator. (And NO FUNNY GUYS... THE MODERATOR IS NOT CMDR CAT COP... WHO WILL LOOK OUT FOR OBSESSIVE OMNI POSTINGS!!!!)

One critique: THe happy faces bring back horrible memories of junior high school for me. I would have preferred to see a smiling cat face, but that's just me!

Luckily for me my weekend was full of social commitments: A Christening for two friend's daughter, a 40th birthday party for the wonderful woman who introduced me to the great world of cats so I was off the computer and did not have to go through FLyerTalk withdrawl.

Sometimes it's probably good to step away from the computer and the world of FlyerTalk
to see the "real" world and get ot know the ones we love again! CATMAN

ok - just back from the men's ski world cup downhill at wengen (the Jungfrau=virgin-Region) - warm packed in my 49er-jacket (some world cup sponsors asked me if De Bartolo wants to enter into the casino business in Switzerland). Because of my co-organizing duties I didn't suffer from flyerTalks problems.

ok - baobab, I will right now look after my ghosts.

I hope that you haven't managed to lose/change your password too, Rudi.

Perhaps FlyerTalk has decided that we have said too much?

IDUR = RUDI just back from my Ski-World-Cup event at Wengen I didn't suffer under any flyertalk-withdrawal-syndomes.

BUT NOW I SUFFER:
I can't log in / post under RUDI anymore (I changed the email address of IDUR to my secondary email-address with yahoo - but I still can't get in under Rudi "this email-address "rmartel@access" is already in use ...).
