Elevate your Elite Status for 2002 on NW

Recieved a letter stating: fly 3 domestic round trips or 1 Wolrd Business class by 12/21/2001 and be elevated to Platinum thru 2003.
Fare basis code restrictions make it tough though.
Trying to find a reasonably priced ticket to Europe in Business Class from Memphis - any ideas?

To get Plat with one flight, it should be expensive

It is my understanding that you need to have 2000 gold status to be eligible.

This is best discussed in the Northwest forum, where there is already a discussion on this topic, and some hints on how to find 3 domestic tickets which qualify.

Please continue the discussion at:

OK, I'll bite.

What is best discussed in "MilesBuzz - Discussion of the latest frequent flyer buzz... " ?

Perhaps a discussion on whether it's safe to travel to Turkey? Anthrax cases at 3? Garment bags?

I guesse a heads up about a new developement in a milage program wouldn't be useful to anyone but NW flyers, certainly not us United folk who have just been told that our airline will 'perish' next year.

I think this is a fine place for thios post, and if references the NW board, all the better! I was going to buy a KLM ticket instead of LH recently as a "show of support" for the KLM people helping out Swiss pax that were "abandoned" lately.

If this fantastic offer was only in the NW board, I might not have seen it, so please, chill out!

I have no problem with mentioning this offer in MilesBuzz, but I feel that the best place to discuss the details is at the existing thread in Northwest which already contains a lot of details. And this is a Northwest specific promotion.

FYI KLM flights do not count.

pamgodd-

Welcome aboard and a few hints..........

1- This is a probably targeted offer and probably not available to everyone (probably only NW Gold)

2- It is only valid for flights on NW

3- It certainly belongs in the NW Forum and has been discussed there already

4- If possible the poster should give more details to help in understanding the info

PG-

I like your moderating strategy- leave the 'tease' thread on MilesBuzz, but direct detailed discussion to specific forum. Keep it up.

I would never access NW forum, but this is good info for me to know to pass onto friends.

I like MilesBuzz being kind of the hub of info, and you directing to spokes.

THANKS
