No FF#...I can't beleive it
I was just making a reservation for my wife and my sister-in-law.
I could not beleive it when she told me she did not have a FF#!!!!!
I almost couldn't make the reservation without filling out the magical box.
I felt sad for her.

That said, I'm not sure that I'd go to as much trouble for an in-law either..
peace,

I did that for someone. They got a magazine and they let me subscribe to one, too.

Whenever I flew with my sister, and she didn't have a FF# for that airline, I signed her up. She has some orphaned miles, but sometimes xfers them to me. Some of those accounts added up to near 25000, so the balance needed were made via shopping partners or idine.
Even small amounts add up. Why not just sign them up?

Yes I see what you mean. I've been doing a lot of flight bookings to fly my girlfriend to either my home city or to whatever city I'm in currently for business. At first I was continually surprised that she didn't have FF numbers for various things. But as I went along, I just created a file and add them as I set them up for her. Oh well

I don't see the big deal with it. If you're getting something extra for doing what you have to do, why not? Takes a couple of minutes to setup a FF#.
If you think the world will end, how about transferring your points over to us?

Oy. Just booked Mr. Big V for a flight to TPA next week.
He wanted a direct flight. And actually chose SW over equally cheap, more lucratively-routed
itins.
He just gave me his new Capital One miles card. When I inquired "for what airline?" he looked at it, turned it over, and said, "Uhhhh, I dunno....Continental, maybe?"
After all the work I do, and a mere 24 hours after my 6-segment MR for elite status, this is what he says! *sigh*
Ah well. We look at them and think they're weird, they look at us and think we're weird, so I guess it's all about perspective...
cheers,
Big V
