To avoid taking up bandwidth, I have cut the quoted post to the minimum. HOWEVER, for all's info, it is now 4 days and counting, and Tecaco has not yet seen fit to make a reply. 3 days to go.
I am really serious about this. Told my wife when I got home. She thre her card into the lower back 40 and said "You do what you want, screw them!"
I can't help that. I will only wait for a reply to see Texaco's side...like I did when I waited a reply from Delta about one of their VP's bumping confirmed FC pax from their seats for his kids and his kid's friends...to which I never got a reply. So be it. If that is their (non-)reply, I will make appropriate changes in my purchasing patterns.

I am going to wait exactly 7 days for a resolution to this and a satisfactory answer to me. After that, I am going to be sending you my Texaco card, which I have had for many years, in pieces.
I am personally infuriated by this action by Texaco.
I do not in any way regard a franchisee as an independent operator---this is a Texaco action and if you support it, that is just the final proof that I need to take my business elsewhere.
I will further do my level best to get my firends, family, and business associates to return their cards to you as well.
And, I guess to wrap up everything I am feeling right now about Texaco, I will say, HOW DARE YOU!!!!

Update on my post: Clip from a previous one is:

Told my wife when I got home. She thre her card into the lower back 40 and said "You do what you want, screw them!"

Well, I don't personally advocate a knee-jerk reaction such as this, and am not commenting on it, nor advocation other Ft'er to do the same, at least YET---3 more days to go for a Texaco reply, I did remember the thing/quote from BlondeBomber and found trhe card the next morning, and proceeded to cut it to chaff, just in case!
Thanx again, BB!

Anyone who feels they were "gouged" by high gas prices, you may want to call your state attorney general. Price gouging is illegal. In Ohio and Michigan, the state attorney generals have stated they will fine any stations that engaged in price gouging.

As posted above, KS prosecutors are looking to press charges also. As I drove home yesterday, I saw a (professionally printed!)banner at a Conoco: "We panicked... We're Sorry... Refunds Available"
I hope they still prosecute.
