Ceramic Knives

Last night I needed my sharpest knife to slice through tomatoes. I am constanly amazed at my Kyocera 8" butcer knife. It is sharper than any Steel knife I have ever used and it feels like a credit card. As I was slicing, I was thinking that a metal detector could not detect this knife and it it would be a very very very lethal weapon.

Is security aware and doing things about items like this. There are a lot of lethal items that are not metal!
