not your fault - these problems (and others with FlyerTalk-software and cookies) exit since New Year.

profile and preferences (and may be also the rest) do work no for me, at least for the moment, - after I changed (on my Mac) from Netscape 4.5 to the new IE 4.5 (Mac-version also).

I wanted to say: with ie 4.5 (Mac-version) everything works fine now; it didn't with netscape comunicator 4.5 (Mac-version also).

Surprisingly, I was able to change my profile
slightly. And hopefully it will stick.

Maybe at your early hour of the morning Rudi and Jaws there's a high volume of people on board. (I'm at work so don't worry, it's NOT
me!) CATMAN

Hey there everybody! Just wanted to drop you a line from the interactive department here that we are looking into this cookie problem. We hope to have a solution soon-- thanks for hanging in there, everyone!

Strange things are happening for me on Flyertalk:

*My prefererences are listed for 20 days, I always ask for 2.

*My log-in and password have to be manual entered.

So I simply went to preferneces and re-entered everything!

Maybe the alleged Y-2-K bug is already affecting the cookies here! CATMAN

Hey, the cookie thing is not the only thing that seems to be going haywire. I have been having repeated problems that, once in a thread, my browser BACK button is not working to get be back to the main buzz listings. It's not my computer (or at least I'm fairly sure it's not, since I'm running a new 350 Pentium II, with lots of RAM, and using AOL 4.0). Moreover, FlyreTalk is the only thing that I'm having this problem with.
Is anyone else having this problem also? Any help on this Web Flyer??

djlawman - are you getting a message telling you that the page you want was the result of a post operation and has expired from the cache? (or the IE equivalent to this statement?) If so, Webflyer has told your computer to 'remember' the page for a finite amount of time and then 'forget' it. This sometimes happens to me. The solution is to hit the reload (or IE equivalent) button, and your computer then contacts the server to get a new copy of the page. The reason that this is done is so that you get the 'freshest' version of the page, which will include all new postings since you last looked at it.
