I just moved to Hawaii from the West Coast and have found it extremely difficult to use my Alaska miles to get a ticket (even thru their partners) to just about everywhere I want to go - especially to Asia. Has anyone had better luck with another program flying mainly out of HNL?

For anywhere that Hawaiian flys, they are by far the best program in terms of seat availability. If you get a BofA Hawaiian credit card and register it on the web site, you get even more availability, up to last seat as far as I've been able to tell. As an example, I was able to get 3 F seats HNL-SYD for any day I wanted from Sep 1st to Dec 1st, while Qantas and AC had only one seat available on 3 or 4 days during the same period (and HA required fewer miles). I'm not sure what their availability is using their partner, NW, that would be good info if anyone has it.
