Possible topics for the new contest --
(a) When we'll next go 72 hours w/o any technical issues
(b) When we'll finally come up with some way of electronically "slapping" users who post messages with nothing but smiley faces
(c) When the earth will be taken over by apes (guesses accurate to within 60 minutes).
Of course, for contest (c) we'd have to get the apes to agree to arbitrate it, because they'd have to be the ones giving the prize.

Have a look at my contest suggestions on the "Only Randy Peterson" forum--....."Now that the 500,000 post contest is over".
Now, if we could only get Randy to have a look also........

There will be a method by which to electronically "reverse" the slap...when "peeled away" it will resemble a "talk to the hand"-like gesture...

I will choose to (mis?)interpret the ~"smiley face poster slap" statement as applying only to those who post nothing BUT smiley faces--ever (i.e. in each & every post). Though first, prior to issuing "the slap", I think we should inquire as to whether their keyboard has only 2 or 3 functioning keys (a colon-esque "something" key, maybe a Shift key, & something involving a parenthesis, perhaps). Given the evidence that they could post, it would seem safe to assume that @ least one aspect of their mouse was functioning (imagine what a fright it would be if they didn't already have a bookmark to FlyerTalk or something else from which they could jump to it). If they had a fully functioning mouse, w/ right & left click functionality intact, it would seem that they're "good to go" re: entering text...if they can highlight & copy/cut/paste, they've got the alphabet & punctuation @ their disposal, thanks to our numerous & flowery posts!
