A good online definition can be found at http://www.msg.net/kadow/answers/s.html#spam:
"Spam: A popular canned meat product. Also, bulk, mass, or repeated posting or mailing of substantially identical messages. The emphasis is on the multiple sending, either many copies to one destination, or one copy to many destinations. This is a reference to the famous Monty Python Spam sketch."

They even have links to the official Spam (meat) site, and the script of the inspirational Python sketch...

CATMAN, I am not sure which TRAAIN/TRAAM or whatever it is now called you rode on, but I have only ever ridden on the one in the old terminals 2E/3E now terminals A & C, I believe, TRAAIN. I have never encountered homeless people on these TRAAINs, probably abecause they are contained within a security/restricted area. They are however very bumpy/jerky, but I have never missed a flight as a result of them. My only current gripe is that they have an an extended route now past the new Terminal B station which has not yet opened, so the trip is unnecesssarily extended a few minutes.

I guess the other question is why they changed the name from TRAAM to TRAAIN? Did they think that just beccause they changed the Terminla names they needed to go the whole hog and change the transporter names too? Sounds like catty logic to me.

Welcome back TravelCrazy! FOr your information I was riding the tram )or Train or whatever they call those DFW shuttles) around 6 in the morning. ANd yes, I did see
a homeless man and a homeless woman.

I MUST WRITE THE TRUTH TO KEEP MY HONOR AS A NEWS-PERSON AND WRITER!!! I save the fiction for my screenplays and journals (handwritten,
off the computer!)

EWR has a shuttle as well and it's pretty fast. It's stops through are a good distance from any gates.

UNrelated post: WHY CAN"T EWR put in moving walkways in the old Terminals A&B??? CO's C
terminal has them (when they are working!)
There are those of us who go to EWR wiped out
from a day at work and sometimes don't want to walk a mile and a half to the gate!!!

Gettin' old, Catman? A mile and a half to the gate? You need the Ol' Shark to chase you, and it will seem like the 100m dash.
